Natural Pearl Business

Natural Ocean Pearls (not cultured), surely the rarest gems on earth, are undergoing a tremendous escalation in price that began in 2002. The purpose of this blog is to report on significant natural pearl sales worldwide, to promote investment in these items, which can return between 25% and 75% per year, and to open channels for world trade of these rarities. The market is thin, and consists chiefly of the elite of the world who wish to possess literally priceless jewels that are only one or two oil tanker spills from utter extinction.

I invite anyone who buys and sells natural ocean pearls to report to me for posting. The more information of this sort moves into public awareness, the more valuable the jewels will become. Cultured pearls are of no interest, because they can be obtained by the ton and have little value.

I am passionate about antique natural saltwater pearls and also live in the Bay Area. Cultured pearls are one of history's tragedies and nothing more than the marine equivalent of goldfill. I buy, sell, and collect, but of course not remotely near your level.

At the moment I have an exquisite strand of Raymond Yard natural pearls (just certified), best color and luster I have found so far and the grain weight is astonishing for the size. Is there a good forum in which to reach natural pearl collectors? I would be most grateful for any suggestions!

The only forum would be Pearl Guide, Natural Pearls section:
